Profile of the start-up CO2 Winery, which supports winegrowers in their ecological transition by proposing innovative solutions for capturing fermentative CO2 and reusing it directly in the winery.
A solution developed by Matthieu Plante and Jean-Philippe Ricard, it enables winegrowers to introduce a circular economy into their wineries.
Thanks to an ingenious network of pipes, CO2 is captured at the vat outlet, compressed according to the winegrower's needs, then stored in bottles.
Once the CO2 has been captured, it can then be used in a variety of situations, such as in winemaking during the extraction or pumping-over stages, or to produce dry ice to protect resinous grapes from oxidation during the harvest.
In this interview, Matthieu Plante looks back on the difficulties they faced, as well as the rewarding moments and their goals for the next stage of their entrepreneurial adventure alongside the Bernard Magrez incubator.
From the passion that gave birth to the idea to the remarkable impact it has on the environment, Bernard Magrez Start-up Win is proud to count among its innovative incubates a start-up that meets ecological expectations.
Together, let's cultivate your success!
